Intermedia Grosso is our most impressive lavender variety—the largest we stock, perfect for creating bold, fragrant displays in spacious gardens. This robust grower reaches approximately 80cm at maturity with wonderfully wide-spreading foliage that fills space beautifully. It's also our most fragrant selection, reliably attracting bees throughout the summer months. Hardy and ready to plant straight into the ground, these young plants (9cm pots) establish quickly with minimal fuss. Space three plants per metre for optimal coverage. Plant in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil—incorporate grit or sharp sand if your soil is heavy, as lavender loves poor, sandy conditions. Choose a sunny spot and water regularly for the first three weeks to establish strong roots. Once settled, it's wonderfully low-maintenance: water sparingly, prune after flowering (cutting back hard but avoiding old wood), and leave it to thrive year-round in your garden. Wholesale prices available online only. Our lavender plants are sold as culinary herbs.

Is lavender right for your garden?
Is lavender right for your garden?
Lavender thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, reflecting its Mediterranean origins. It struggles in clay or waterlogged ground, so if your garden holds a lot of moisture, another plant may suit you better.
Lavender care guide
Lavender care guide
Lavender is wonderfully low-maintenance once established. Choose a sunny, well-drained spot, water regularly for the first few weeks after planting, then ease off as it settles in. A light prune after flowering keeps it compact and full. That's all it needs to thrive.
